Martin
Rivera better known as "NOZTRA", was born December
12,1982 in San Francisco de Macoris, Dominican Republic. He
grew up and lives in the state of New York since the age of
seven [ 7 ] when he came to the United States. This talented
artist has what it takes to become one [ 1 ] of the top artist
in the now well known genre of Reggaeton. At age sixteen
[ 16 ] he started composing his own lyrics & music. He
kept working to develop his rhyming and writting skills which
have now make him a professional artist.
He
re-calls that year 2002 gave him a big break by which he started
working in a radio show
[ WQRX 93.5 FM, New Rochelle, NY ] conducting one of the first
Reggaeton shows to be aired in the city of New York. This
was a remarkable year, because of several reasons by which
he got his own recording studio and made his first appearance
in a commercial release, in addition he attained his own recording
studio. Continuing being on an album he also appeared in "
In The House Magazine " one of the best known magazine
of the Reggaeton music genre. From there he appeared on mixtape
cds provided by the Magazine & in another various
artists albums releases.
Shortly
after, Noztra was given the opportunity to be the opening
act in show's which featured some of todays top Reggaeton
names such as: Daddy Yankee, Nicky Jam, Tego Calderon, Don
Omar, Wisin y Yandel, Las Guanabanas, Don Chezina, etc...
These events marked a very important time in Noztra's career
not only because he shared the stage with the biggest names
in this genre, but also because the public's reaction to his
performance provided him with a clearer picture and the fuel
he needed to continue pursuing his dream.
Noztra is aware that in life nothing comes easy, that for
success, you need time, patience and practice, and he is ready
for whatever challenge may come his way. Since mid-quater
of 2003, when he started working on his debut album title
" Ya` Ain`t Ready " which means " No Estan
Listos " in spanish, its been day & night. Going
at it hitting heavy hours in the Studio, laying flavored tracks
that contain all type of variety themes such as: Malianteo,
Sandungueo, Bolero, Streets/ Gangstah Hip Hop y Temas Sociales,
are just a few of the combinations Noztra and his album promises
to carry out. The album contains 19 tracks with a total running
time of 63 minutes. All tracks were written by Noztra out
of his self inspiration. His first production entitled "Ya'
Aint Ready", is an album that contains 19 tracks and
a variety of sounds such as Malianteo, Sandungueo, Bolero,
Streets/Gangsta Hip Hop and Social themes.
All
the tracks were written by Noztra and the album was produced
by some of the top producers in the market such as: Luny Tunes,
Nesty, DJ Urba, Monserrate, DJ Sonic, Notty-Mekka, Myztiko
and A & X. Noztra entered the scene with a hit single
"Damelo Duro" featuring Rosandi, which has been
distributed through Mixtapes and has had a huge acceptance
in the top radio stations.
This
song has also been very popular in countries such as: Peru,
Honduras, Canada, Dominican Republic and Spain, to name a
few and is included in his current album. The first single
off this album is "El Maquinon", which was produced
by DJ Urba & Monserrate.
At
only 22 years of age, this talented artist has what it takes
to become a huge hit in the world of Reggaeton.
